About me
Rachel Shasha started off as a Los Angeles and Hollywood based personal trainer over 10 years ago. She has worked with celebrities including Alyssa Milano, Sarah Shahi, and Kiersten Warren. Rachel received her fitness training at UCLA and obtained certifications from both the American Council on Exercise and the National Strength and Conditioning Association. As well as fitness, Rachel studied health, nutrition and psychology at UCLA and then went on to receive her master’s degree at USC to further her studies in sports psychology.

Now working in New York City, Rachel is also a regular contributor to both Woman’s Health and Fitness Magazine and Livestrong.com. Rachel specializes in functional training and works well with both men and woman wanting to lose weight and/or get in better shape. She also helps people get ready for events, such as a wedding. And finally, she is certified to work with pregnant and post-partum women as well as children.

A miracle workerAs an actor I'm required to be in stupid good shape. Trust me, if I didn't do what I do I would happily be 15 pounds heavier.  When I turned 40 I found it suddenly, ridiculously hard to keep the same form that came so easy a decade ago. As an ex-gymnast and dancer I loathe straight boot camp style exercises. I needed both variety and creativity in my custom designed workout regimen. Rachel Shasha was a nothing short of a miracle worker. She quickly diagnosed a piss poor cardiovascular capacity and strengthened my lungs along with toning every muscle in my body.  She's of great humor and I could hire her just to have coffee with, and trust me I always suggested that instead of our workouts but she would never have any of it. Developed a great training programSHE IS THE KIND OF TRAINER YOU LOVE TO HATE! Always different, always creative, and most surly, ALWAYS HARD! My husband and I starting going to Rachel about 2 years ago. What we love about her is that she developed a training program where we can work out at the same time and feel like we have not only been trained properly, but both be exhausted at the end. It has brought us much closer together and kept us with the same fitness goals. Now I am entering my 8th month of pregnancy.
