    The body is Dawn’s primary medium for expression. Her background in dance and her career as a vocal performer have both informed her holistic approach to fitness, which emphasizes alignment foremost, with strength training and mobility work as necessary complements. She carries with her an eclectic toolkit, born from years of interdisciplinary study and continuing education.

    Her various studies have afforded her the chance to learn from many, and to refine her philosophies accordingly. At the earliest stage of her fitness career, Dawn was a student of the Browning Method’s MaryAnn Browning. She used this strength training foundation to then support her growth as she gravitated toward yoga and other postural-based practices. Enter: Baron Baptiste, Power Yoga, Rodney Yee and the Jivamukti principles--all of whom (and which) proved highly influential in the development of her personal conception of fitness and style of teaching.

    Now, Dawn teaches everything from circuit bootcamps and yoga classes to resistance rebounding, and mobility classes. She teaches this last class under the guidance of current mentor, Nick Ebner, with whom she’s been working since 2013. Nick is largely influenced by Coach Christopher Sommers (famous for Gymnastics Bodies), and has a profound knowledge of nutritional science. Nick is responsible for coaching Dawn to her champion title at the 2015 WNBF competition in Figure & Diva Fitness (placing 2nd & top 5).

    Grateful and inspired by the diverse training she’s had, Dawn continues to seek out new experiences, and accumulate evermore information. She turns these experiences into life-enhancing knowledge through daily practice of all that she’s encountered. Whether it be through morning stretches, proper supplementation, evening meditation, or a deep Warrior II, Dawn aims to extend herself a little further each day.

    She firmly believes: without spending the time, neither mind nor body may be divine.
