    Kristen's contemporary approach is deeply rooted in anatomy and biomechanics, and designed to address muscular imbalances and repattern movement. She believes that fitness is not just about looking better, but also feeling better. Practicing Pilates regularly can increase overall strength and flexibility, improve balance, reduce everyday aches and pains, and strengthen your mind-body connection.


    Kristen began teaching Pilates in 2010 after completing a 600-hour comprehensive certification at The Lab in Brooklyn, NY. She founded Kristen Riani Movement in 2017. Throughout her career she has worked with a wide range of clients - office workers looking to improve posture from sitting at a desk all day, athletes looking to improve performance and prevent injury, busy parents looking for an hour of self-care, grandparents who want to be able to keep up with their grandkids, and everyone in-between. She has completed continuing education workshops in topics such as pre & post-natal Pilates, scoliosis protocols, gait analysis and body reading, myofascial release techniques, osteoporosis and senior fall prevention, and many more. When she isn't teaching Pilates, she enjoys rock climbing and is a coach for the climbing team at The Cliffs at LIC.
